Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act Training Course

Missouri State University is your certified training provider for the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act (LEOSA) HR-218 in southern Missouri.

Course Description

As a qualified retired or separated officer, you may earn your LEOSA credentials for conceal and carry after successfully completing this training.

We will shoot the State mandated 50 round qualification at the firing range. To qualify for the certification, you will need to make an 80 percent (40/50 rounds have to be on target). 

Once qualified you will receive a wallet size certificate that is good for one calendar year from the training date.  POST credit is available as well.

Supplies

In addition to the firearm, you will need to bring:

  • A minimum of 50 rounds of ammunition with two magazines minimum, three or more preferred.
  • Eye and ear protection (not supplied).
  • Properly functioning firearm (required to shoot 14 rounds in 45 seconds).
