School Protection Officer Training

Join other local schools in the area for this 120-hour training for school protection officers. This course is designed to give campus teachers, safety and security officers the basic skills needed to respond to a life threatening weapon event, normally an active shooter on their property.

The tactics discussed and practiced are designed for use against aggressive people from the perspective the situation has escalated to deadly force (the active loss of life is occurring). Additionally, this course follows the Missouri State Legislature Requirements for School Protection Officers.

Courses will include:

  • assessments
  • lectures
  • hands-on training

  • scenarios presented with a computer simulation system with stimulus response
